Our website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web analytics data including:
- IP addresses (processed by Vercel infrastructure, not stored by us)

We do not operate our own analytics pipeline or log retention system. Any analytics are provided by Vercel's standard hosting infrastructure.

BioContext7 aggregates publicly available documentation from open-source bioinformatics registries. If you are the author or maintainer of a tool indexed by BioContext7 and wish to have your content removed, you may submit a removal request.
How to Request Removal
Send an email to removal@biocontext7.com with the following information:
- The tool name and registry source (e.g., bio.tools, PyPI, Bioconda)
- Evidence of ownership or maintainership (e.g., a link to your profile on the source registry)
- Whether you want the tool metadata, documentation chunks, or both removed
Removal Process
- We acknowledge your request within 2 business days
- We verify your ownership of the tool
- Upon verification, we remove the tool metadata and documentation chunks within 7 days
- The tool is added to our internal exclusion list to prevent re-indexing
Scope of Removal
Removal covers all data we store for the specified tool, including:
- Tool metadata (name, description, EDAM annotations, version history)
- Documentation chunks used for search and retrieval
- FAIR scoring data derived from the tool's metadata
11. Your Rights
Since BioContext7 does not collect personal data or maintain user accounts, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold any personal information about you, contact us and we will investigate and respond within 30 days.
12. Children's Privacy
BioContext7 is a professional bioinformatics tool registry not directed at individuals under 16. Since we do not collect personal information, no special provisions for children's data apply.

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
